Noodle Soup 12/17/2005 george made up 4 c water 1 1/2 cubes chicken bullion 2 bay leaves Pinch ground sage (optional) Appoximately equal parts, all chopped: about 2 stalks celery (1/8 inch bits) onion about 2 carrots (1/4 inch bits) pepper dried onion flakes (optional) 1/4 lb alphabet noodles Lots of fresh parsley, chopped (optional) Little bit of basil, chopped (optional) Bring water, boullion, bay leaf, sage to a boil. Add celery, onion, carrots, pepper, onion flakes. Boil/simmer veg's for 8 minutes. Add the noodles, boil/simmer until done, box says 6 minutes but it usually takes 10. During the last couple of minutes fish out the bay leaf, and add parsley and basil. You'll start running out of liquid - if this happens turn the heat way down and cover. Makes about 4 servings of soup (for a sick person, anyway).
