11/8/2003 Grilled Cheese George's recipe 2x slices bread 1.5x slices tomato 4x slices of cheddar (off of a block) 4x slices of mozzarella (off of a block) dash of basil couple dashes of oregano couple dashes of garlic powder butter Place bottom slice of bread on a cutting board. Arrange mozzarella layer, then tomato layer, then cheddar layer. Sprinkle spices over cheddar. Meanwhile, melt butter in a frying pan on very low heat. Spread it around in the pan with a spatula. Take the extra piece of bread, and rub it around in the melted butter to get just the slightest coat of butter on it. Remove it from the frying pan and place on top of the built sandwich(es). Once all of the tops of the sandwiches have been buttered, add some more butter to the frying pan, spreading it around with the spatula until it's melted, and then place the sandwiches in the frying pan, coating the bottoms with the slightest coat of butter. Cover immediatlely. Cook until bottom of sandwich is golden brown, about 3 minutes on low heat. Turn over and re-cover. Cook until other side of sandwich is golden brown, about 2 minutes.
