getting started

chris tries out hiking poles. he gets pretty good reception.

usually you see cairns made of rocks while hiking... this is a cairn of ice pieces.

we snowshoed along a wide road, which made for a pretty easy time and the ability to converse with each other. single file wouldn't have been so much fun.

katy and heidi, stopped for our lunch of sandwiches, containing various combinations of bread, peanut butter, ham, cheese, nutella, bananas, and honey.
