this hike was almost entirely in pouring rain. any time the rain let up, we were hiking through waist high soggy weeds. this is my dad in his rain-proof-ish jacket, and his new camera.

once we were on the trail, it looked like this. problem with this hike was that you had to walk 1.5 miles on a dirt road to GET to the trailhead.

this is gold creek. we didn't see much of it during the hike, until near the end we got to walk in the riverbed for a little while.
